Short biography: Ivan Novković completed his bachelor and master’s studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography, where in 2016 he defended his doctoral dissertation “Natural conditions as determinants of geohazards on the example of the Ljig, Jošanička and Vranjskobanjska River basins”, earning the title Doctor of Geosciences for the area Geospatial and Environmental Science. Since 2009, he has been employed at the Faculty of Geography as a junior researcher. In 2011 he was elected to the position of assistant, in 2017 to the position of assistant professor, and in 2022 to the position of associate professor for the scientific field of Geospatial and Environmental Science. From the school year 2021/22 he is Vice dean for finance at the Faculty of Geography. He participated in over 30 scientific research projects, studies and elaborates. So far, he has published over 80 bibliographic references, of which 19 papers in international scientific journals from the SCI list stand out. Herschel’s citation index has a value of 9 (SCOPUS).
