Short biography: Petar Vasić is associate professor at Faculty of Geography – University of Belgrade. He graduated Demography as the best student of generation at Faculty of Geography in Belgrade, obtained a master’s degree in demography at Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, and defended doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Geography in Belgrade in 2016. During his career Petar Vasić gained scholarships by several institutions and has won numerous awards. As a researcher so far has been involved in thirteen scientific and professional projects. He published more than 50 scientific references, and attained numerous scientific conferences. He has been aiming his interests through an integral and systematic approach, from understanding the interrelationship between population processes, the economy and the environment, through their impact on the demographic future, and in the end to the formulation of scientifically based recommendations for the population policy. He is a member of the Association of Demographers of Serbia and the Serbian Geographical Society.
