In Zlatibor, from August 29 to 31, 2024, the VI Congress of the Geographers of Serbia was held under the title “Quo vadis geography – Where is geography going?”.
Six members of the POPENVIROS team take participation at the Congress (Natalija Mirić, Vera Gligorijević, Slavoljub Dragićević, Ivan Novković, Petar Vasić, and Tijana Jakovljević).
During the Congress, several panels were organized in which members of the POPENVIROS team were very engaged. Vera Gligorijević took part in the panel entitled “More and more people on the planet, fewer and fewer in the Balkans: is immigration a possible solution?” and she presented the joint work of the team, which you can read at this link. Slavoljub Dragićević moderated the panel entitled “Management of natural conditions and processes”, while Ivan Novković moderated the panel “Using GIS tools and artificial intelligence”.
