On May 15, 2025, representatives from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, alongside World Bank experts within the SAIGE project, as well as specialists in environmental and ethical issues, visited the Faculty of Geography at the University of Belgrade.
This monitoring visit provided an excellent opportunity to present the status of the POPENVIROS project within the PRIZMA program.
Principal investigator Natalija Mirić introduced the research team of 10 members, composed of experts from three institutions within the University of Belgrade and the Institute of Social Sciences, highlighting the importance of team communication. The team showcased ongoing scientific research examining population dynamics in the context of environmental challenges in Serbia, shared progress and results, and presented the equipment acquired through project funding.
A constructive and enthusiastic discussion covered all aspects of the project, including risk management challenges related to environmental and ethical issues in research. This exchange further motivated the principal investigator and the attending POPENVIROS team members: Milica Maričič, Petar Vasić, and Tijana Jakovljević.
