The scientific conference Demographic Perspectives on Migration in the 21st Century was held from 19 to 21 November 2025 in Vienna, organized by the Vienna Institute of Demography, Austrian Academy of Sciences.
The conference brought together researchers from the fields of demography, public policy, and social sciences. Over the course of three days, participants presented the latest approaches to analyzing migration flows in the 21st century, with a particular focus on global migration trends, integration processes, climate-related factors, projections of future developments, and methodological innovations in demographic analysis.
Ivan Marinković took part in the conference program, presenting the results of his research (co-authored with Jelena Despić) titled Estimating Emigration in the Absence of Population Registers: A Census-Based Residual Method Applied to Serbia (2011–2022).
