Within the POPENVIROS project, we have initiated qualitative research through focus groups on the topic of perceptions of environmental challenges and reproductive decisions.
📍 The first focus group was held in Valjevo, a city facing serious air pollution problems. In parallel, we conducted drone filming at two locations – the Monument to the Fighters of the Revolution and the city landfill – to further document the local context. The first focus group was conducted by POPENVIROS team members Natalija Mirić and Tijana Jakovljević.
🙏 We sincerely thank all participants of the Valjevo focus group for their openness, insights, and constructive discussion. Your voices are invaluable for understanding how environmental challenges affect everyday decisions about parenthood.
📄 The report with guidelines on the preparation, organization, and implementation of the focus group is available in the library.
🔜 In the upcoming period, we will conduct four more focus groups in:
- Smederevo
- Pančevo
- Kosjerić
- Belgrade
Through this research, we aim to better understand how environmental challenges shape reproductive decisions, family planning, and everyday life of the population.
